Client Strategy Lead - Key Accounts

Optimal is hiring a Client Strategy Lead to join our digital media team. The Client Strategy Lead will play a critical role in overseeing the development and implementation of media strategy for a key client account, with a focus on client satisfaction and KPI attainment. This role will see you working across a diverse team of media leads and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on client goals, and to drive continuous improvements towards client KPI’s through strategic innovation. With a firm understanding of paid media and a strong focus on continuous improvement, you'll navigate our clients’ internal structures and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. In this role, you will leverage your leadership skills, media knowledge, and innovative thinking to drive client success.

Essential Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of robust media strategies, proactively identifying opportunities for strategic innovation
  • Analyze performance for omnichannel paid media campaigns and identify opportunities for strategic improvements and optimization
  • Oversee and assist in defining budget allocation, overseeing budget tracking and ensuring that media spend is allocated efficiently
  • Ensure that client goals are clearly understood by account teams and that account teams are well-equipped to achieve goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams to align paid media efforts with client goals
  • Overseeing all client presentations, offering feedback to team members to ensure material follows a logical progression and is clear, concise and digestible to clients while maintaining the detail necessary
  • Oversee and assist with the preparation of key client reports such as weekly performance decks, monthly creative recaps, and quarterly business reviews
  • Oversee and assist with the delivery of creative analysis to end client and creative agency 
  • Join key meetings with account teams and creative agencies as needed to discuss creative and creative performance
  • Centralize goals, projects, individual to-do’s, and upcoming deliverables through a project management tool on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Maintain and track clear objectives for each team and initiative, ensuring that success is quantifiable and measurable
  • Work fluidly and expediently with both internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure deliverables are completed on time
  • Leverage a robust understanding of digital media and performance marketing metrics to ensure client reporting is effective, productive, and demonstrates value
  • Oversee the development of paid media performance forecasts and ensure that performance is pacing towards KPI’s
  • Ensure clear expectations for each client meeting and work with relevant parties to ensure material is accurate and prepared in a timely manner 
  • Balance shifting priorities across internal and external stakeholders, maintaining fluid communication across teams
  • Ensure Optimal exceeds expectations for key account contacts

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  • 4+ years of full-time, professional paid media experience, including 3+ years of hands-on campaign buildout & optimization
  • Consistent track record and hands-on experience handling high campaign volume, large budgets, and complex omni-channel strategies across paid search, paid social, display, and programmatic
  • Demonstrated ability to produce actionable insights that drive value for the end client
  • Superior ability to analyze data in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads or other analytics platforms
  • Experience in Adobe Analytics is a plus
  • Outstanding analytical skills 
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Best-in-class communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, statistics, analytics, or a related field is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Office Hours

This role is based out of our Austin office. Our Austin team works on a hybrid basis, with three days per week working in the office and two days per week working from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
